... living in Sweden as a copywriter for Vantage Technology Magazine:

Welcome to the golden past and future, in Vantage Technology Magazine!

The word "vantage" mean shortly that you got a "superior position or view" and is related with "advantage" which is a quality, we especially want to give our readers!" [Ed: you already said that]

As soon as I came across this site, I immediately heard Stanley burbling away in his inimitable brand of almost-English - which I remember so well from my childhood. "Goldiloppers and the 3 bearloders" was a tape we frequently enjoyed.

I know one should not make fun of foreigners - after all, my Swedish is limited to a few food and drink items, but I only write web sites in my own native tongue, and wouldn't dare to try in, say, French or German without help.

Could this be Swedish on auto-translate to English? My French being of a schoolgirl variety (many years disusued) I have visted these sites with various nephews and a niece, but, though they help with the vocabulary, even I can see that the grammar and word order are seriously mangled.

My favourite Stanley Unwin moment was when he explained the new metric clock on (I think) the old 'Tonight' programme.

That's quite wonderful isn't it?

Makes me want to ask whether "Goldiloppers and the 3 Bearloders" would have been an alternative title for one of Roald Dahl's 'alternative' nursery rhymes. ;)

I have no help with my site (or any incomes from vantechmag that might pay for a translater) as you seen and it would be nice if you could point out any major errors with my English...

I did ask some English friends and they only say my written English is better than most people there, even if there is a few people (of 10500 members) who have complained in another site - without wanting to point out any specific error!

Then am I slightly word blind too, but I like to help people so I guess it's better that I made the site, instead of nothing!
